  12. I have a ruber tree (ficus elastica) which has been grown indoors - until
  13. recently.  I finally reached a size that keeping it indoors was no longer
  14. practical, and I didn't have the heart to cut it down to fit.

  16. Sooo, I put this tree outdoors in a very large planter (clay), and everyone
  17. was happy.  Unfortunately, it started getting windy.  And windier.
  18. Last night I looked outside, and although the planter was upright,
  19. the tree wasn't !  It had bent over completely.  I was able to pick it up
  20. and straighten it out, but when I let go, droop city!
  21.  
  22. Suggestions?
  23. Although it seems silly with a 6 foot tall tree, should I stake it?
  24. I tried tieing it on three points, but "drooooop".
