- To those who want an alternative Christmas tree, consider a Norfolk Island
- Pine. They make decent houseplants, until they get too big. We used ours
- for a Xmas tree for two or three years while we had it. Worked great with
- a modest amount of decorations on it. It's live. It's green. And we
- didn't visit the tree farm to cut a fresh one.
-
- Actually, I prefer "real" cut Xmas trees, but have had the luxury for at
- least part of my life to be able to cut my own from my own wooded hills.
- Alas, that's not part of our current living arrangements.
