  22. They're January 29, 30, and 31, at McKenna Theater on the campus of
  23. San Francisco State University.  I can provide directions by email if
  24. anyone needs them.

  26. I'd be inclined to agree that the auditions are more fun than the actual
  27. festival, although both have their good points.  On the major plus side
  28. for the auditions, they cost LOTS less than the festival -- it does
  29. cost to get in, but it's on the order of a couple of bucks, as opposed
  30. to something like $18 per ticket for the actual festival.  You get to
  31. see the great troupes alongside the, uhhh, not-so-great troupes, which
  32. provides some interesting contrast, and everybody extracts the high
  33. points of their show for the ten-minute spot, which usually makes for
  34. good watching.  They are, indeed, in full costume, and almost invariably
  35. have full live musical accompaniment as well.  Highly recommended.
