- I've recently started up belly dancing lessons, and am enjoying it quite a
- bit. But my teacher and I have a bit of a problem. She's never taught a
- male before, and doesn't have much in the way of hard references for me.
- Worse, we're a bit isolated here, and I've never so much as seen a decent
- male dancer, though I'm told they certainly do exist. For the moment, I'm
- doing OK with basic exercises. Certainly there's enough there to keep me
- busy for quite a while. But I will sure need some role models eventually!
- For a start, still pictures would help to give me a better idea of
- costumes, and of course video tapes are even better still. Does anyone
- have contact addresses where I might purchase such tapes by mail order?
- Perhaps someone has some tapes they could dub in good conscience? I'd of
- course pay all duplication and shipping! (And I'll throw in my eternal
- gratitude for good measure. :) Are there any male belly dancers on line?
- I'd love to chat about the differences between male and female performance,
- though I'm not even sure I know the right questions to ask.
-
- Many thanks,
-
