- In response to "What makes dances grow?"...
-
-
- I believe that the quality of the facility your dances in influences
- attendance.
-
- When selecting a facility, look for the correct type of
- floor for your dance form ( most forms require a "giving" smooth floor --
- wood or a properly maintained Formica/linoleum over wood floor. Do not
- accept concrete or Formica/linoleum over concrete. Some gymnasium floors
- are built over an airspace so the floor has a sprung feel.)
-
- Lower priority items:
- 1) Look for rooms with good ventilation and clean, dust and smoke free air.
- Some dance halls can be very dusty.
-
- 2) Find a hall that does not get too hot.
-
- 3) Water should be readily available.
