- Consider the Golden Eagle pass from the Park Service. Entrance
- to all parks for a year for $25. At Carlsbad Caverns, it costs
- nothing to enter the park, but $6 to enter the cave. Does the
- Golden Eagle cover that? Of course not. That's not an
- "entrance fee", but a "service charge" or something of the sort.

- The Forest Service does provide emergency services and information,
- etc., so a small fee is justified. It isn't going to reduce logging,
- though, unless they see a profit from hikers in logging areas.
