- A friend of mine keeps an awl and thread in his pack ( for emergency
- repairs of packs, etc ). He got fed up with the same problem,
- sat down one evening and stitched one side of the tongue to
- the boot. It only took a stitch or two. The tongue no longer slides
- away and the stitches are not noticeable.
