  24. The only Porsche James Dean ever owned was a 550 Spyder.

  26. He bought it for racing, and on the condition that the mechanic who recommended it to
  27. him do all the service work for him.

  29. He died in it before he ever raced it (sorta in it, he got thrown out and killed --
  30. seat belts weren't too popular back then) in the hills of California when a guy
  31. made an illegal turn ahead of him.
