  38.  About a week ago a noted scientist in atmospheric sciences gave a
  39.  lecture at U of I about how CFCs do aid in the destruction of the
  40.  ozone layer. The most stunning fact was that the ozone layer has been
  41.  thinning exponentially in the last few years. As you pointed out
  42.  CFCs are not the only problem the ozone faces but its removal
  43.  would be a step in the right direction.
