- Now that you mention it, we just put a set of 4 BFG Comp T/A HR4s on our
- Lancer Shelby (The Comp T/As are available in VR4 or HR4). We had
- Gatorbacks on it from the factory. They went 45,000 before needing
- replacing (and there's still enough tread to autocross on, hey! they're
- just starting to get sticky!). The BFG Comp T/A HR4s are nice. They
- don't have nearly the sidewall stiffness of the Gatorbacks, but they grip
- very nicely in the dry, wet, and snow, they improved our gas mileage by
- (and I kid you not) 3 mpg, and they have an incredible 350 treadwear
- rating (compared to 250 or so for the Gatorback). They should last me
- until about 100,000 miles! :-)
-
- They were $90 each mailorder.
