- You cannot bore a 350 out to make it displace 383 cubic inches. The only
- way to make a 383 chevy small-block engine is to put a crank from a 400
- cubic inch engine in it. This crank has a longer stroke, and thus it will
- have more displacement. The most you can get from boring the cylinders in a
- 350 is about a .060 inch diameter increase, which gives a final
- displacement of around 360 cubic inches.
