- I agree with the consensus that the G20 is superior to the Altima,
- at a comparable price. The G20 has a great engine and ABS brakes.
- I think the Altima is a loser, just like the Stanza was. One knock
- against the G20 is that it lacks sufficient headroom in the rear for
- a 6 footer, while the Altima is tall enough. Also, the G20 lacks a
- driver side airbag, whereas the Altima has one.
-
- Both cars have those stupid motorized seatbelts-- *#)&$(*&^ Nissan.
- However, an Infiniti dealer told me the '94 model of the G20 would be
- available in April 1993 (NoCal), and would come with an airbag and
- post-mounted 3-point seatbelt. Let's hope they don't spoil the G20's
- looks, or it's super-low coefficient of drag (.30).
-
- Don't forget that the Mazda 626 is a competitor in the Accord/Taurus/
- Camry class. Given the G20's lack of airbag, the Accord's SOHC engine,
- the Taurus' mediocre reliability, and the Camry's poor fuel economy,
- I'd say Mazda is the winner right now. (Chrysler LH not included.)
