- Hmmmm.....

- Have you considered that the main difference PTFE additives make
- is between the bearings and the bearing surfaces?? Your crank, cam,
- connecting rods, lifter gear, timing gears & chain, etc. are all made
- of steel. The bearings are all made of bearing metal. This is just
- the same as in a cast iron block. The only possible difference is if
- you do NOT have sleeved cylinders, i.e. your pistons/rings are in direct
- contact with the block. I don't know offhand of any unsleeved alum.

- Also, all cast iron blocks have aluminum pistons. PTFE seems to adhere

- Just use Occam's razor on the problem. Are you worried about lubricating
- the sides of your block, or the metal/metal contact areas???
