- I used to have a MAXON radar detector I got from DAK.
- It has saved me countless times but last year I got
- nailed by a cop with the instant on radar.
- There wasn't much I could do about it.
-
- Now I have a cobra trapshooter which has 3 bands (X,K, & Ka).
- The Ka sure gives lots of false alarms due to the
- leaky detectors on other peoples cars.
- I think the cobra is more sensitive than the MAXOn.
-
- All radar detectors give false alarms.
- This is because there are signals out there that have
- the same frequency that youre scanning.
- Theres no way to tell a police signal from a false signall
- if they are at the same frequency.
