- I meant that the operating speed of the engine is about 600 to 5000 rpm.
- Not the alternator. Besides, I don`t know about your car, but my alternator
- pulley is smaller than the crank pulley that drives it. This means that the
- alternator is actually turning faster than the engine. I would say that the
- alternator pulley is about 1/3 the size of the crank pulley on my car, so
- that means that the operating speeds of the alternator vary from about 1800
- to about 15000 rpm. So I cannot figure where you get the 200 rpm from.
