- Nope, no joke. I had a '59 beetle and I remember the available
- accessories included such a washer system. I wasn't too impressed either,
- so I added an aftermarket unit with a squeezebulb mounted under the
- dash. It wasn't "automatic", but I needed the exercise anyway.
- BTW the acc. catalog listed many interesting devices, including
- several pages of flowerpots!
