  12. Didn't the 8-track evolve from the broadcast audio cart?
  13. I thought a guy named Muntz (who was perhaps the first
  14. audio/video guy to proclaim himself insane during his
  15. commercials) adapted the broadcast audio cart to 
  16. four-track car stereo (two stereo programs).  Then a guy
  17. named Bill Lear (of Lear Jet fame) came up with the eight-track.
