- I use an Adcom CD player. It cost just about $500 a year ago. However
- I paid nearly $100 extra to get the white front panel option. I have a
- completely white system (It looks ~HOT~).
-
- This CD player uses dual 16 bit with 4x oversampling if you like to
- compare that sort of stuff. One thing I noticed is that this CD player
- reproduces sub-sonic frequencies better than other CD players I have
- hooked up to my system. You see, I have two 6.5 cu ft subwoofer towers
- with 15" woofers and you can really feel the difference on certain
- types of music.
-
- Just a note about a Carver CD player by buddy brought over one day.
- At first we didn't know what was going on but later discovered if I
- used my Adcom remote control while the Carver CD player was operating,
- the Carver would go into an un-recoverable crash! The CD dropped down
- onto the changer while it was still spinning and would not respond to any
- front panel controls until the unit was powered down then turned back on.
-
- My buddy called up the Carver company and they said the Adcom remote
- was at fault. You be the judge.
