Hi,
I have a question regarding the Bose AM-3 Series II satellite subwoofer
speakers. Is it ideally suited for a certain type of music ? My tastes
in music are primarily jazz and reggae. When I called Crutchfield for some advice regarding this, the salesperson told me categorically that with my music tastes,
I'd be better off getting more conventional (acoustical suspension) speakers,
adding that the Bose AM-3 satellite/subwoofer speakers were more suited for
rock music. He recommended the Advent Legacy/Bose 4.2 series II instead.
The saleperson at the local audio store here (Circuit City) was adamant that
this was not the case. I spent an hour listening to a wide variety of stuff
on the Bose Am-3's at the store, but I really could'nt figure out what was
missing. Does anyone have any opinions on this ? For the same price ($400/-) the
salesperson at Circuit City recommended the Harmon Kardon, HK 10 speakers. They
seemed to be as good, if not better to my non-discerning ears, when compared
to the Bose AM-3's, but I was a bit hesitant since I am not sure if HK makes
good speakers. What do you people think ?
I'd appreciate any feedback from you regarding these concerns.
Thanks,
