I have, and want to keep, a quiet, peaceful life in the country,
rather than move back to the big-city life I grew up with.  That
doesn't mean I won't go into town for a concert, a great meal, or a
party, or into the wilderness for some solitude or to take some
special photographs; I just want my life to stay centered around my
work, my home, my spirit, and my family (the partner I'm looking
for and any children she has or we might have together).

If you have similar values -- happiness, peace, love, closeness --
perhaps we can enhance them together.

At the mundane level, I love people, music, and my work.  I'm
medium sized (5'10", slightly stout) and generally pleasant
looking.  I've been fortunate in the reward I've received for my
creativity and hard work, but I'm not materialistic and do what I
do only because I enjoy spending my life that way.

It's hard for me to talk about how my dream-woman looks.  First of
all, I've found some "plain" women extremely attractive.  Second,
I'm flexibly looking for a partner, not a dream-woman.  But in
the hope of encouraging a response from someone who knows that
looks do count and wants me to say something, without discouraging
anyone this doesn't really fit, I'll blush and say I've been turned
on by big smiles, by small waists, and by the kind of personality
that sees the good in everything instead of the bad.  I like
"intelligent looking" eyes.  (Whatever _that_ means!  I think it
means being able to look straight at me like you understand and are
interested in what I'm saying.  Is that looks?)  I dislike large
amounts of makeup unless you have exquisite taste about it, which
most people don't, but smaller amounts don't bother me at all and
can be appealing.

I've known enough women that "choosing you" will be fairly quick
and easy if things go right between us; I trust myself.  If you're
not in the same place, but find my description appealing, please be
straightforward about that.  I'll still be willing to be the key to
your lock if our fit is good, and you'll appreciate the clarity
too.  I'm not in a sexual relationship at the moment, though
physical love is as important to me as spiritual love is.

(This is here because of some past misunderstandings.)  I live
between Seattle and Tacoma.  If traveling an hour to see the man
you might want to spend the rest of your life with sounds too awful
to bear, you need a different guy.  It's a short-term investment;
within a few months at most, either we'll have honestly concluded
that we don't want each other, or we'll be together, hopefully for
keeps, and the travel will no longer be an issue.  And, especially
if we raise some kids together, you'll appreciate the relatively
wholesome life available to us here.
