- National NC 300c Amateur Receiver
-
- 160, 80, 40, 20, 15, (11), 10 meter bands and has an X band which functions
- as a tunable IF in the 30 to 35Mhz range for use with a suitable broadband
- crystal converter.
- Tuning dial scales for 6, 2, and 1.25 meter bands are installed.
-
- Band coverages are
-
- 160 1.8 - 2.0
- 80 3.5 - 4.0 Note The dial scale for 80 is actually 3.3 - 4.14
- 40 7.0 - 7.3 The other bands are also "padded"
- 20 14.0 - 14.4
- 15 21.0 - 21.5
- 11 26.5 - 27.5
- 10 28.0 - 29.7
- with converter
- 6 49.5 - 54.5
- 2 143.5 - 148.5
- 1.25 220 - 225

- Controls:
- Tuning Phasing
- Antenna Tune AF Gain
- RF Gain Cal Set
- Tone IF (1-2-3)
- ANL C.W.O.
- Mode (Acc, SSB, AM, CW) Xmit//Rc
- SElectivity (Off, 1-2-3) Off/Cal
- Band
-
-
- IF Selectivity 500hz, 3.5 Khz, 8Khz (Not to shabby)
- Crystal Filter with 3 degrees of selectivity. A phasing control
- inserts a notch in the selectivity curve.
-
- If desired the RF gain can be switched out so that the RF front end
- runs at max gain, and overal gain can then be reduced in the IF stages.
-
- Muting, the NC300c can be muted by the application of -22 volts
- to the appropriate connector.
-
- The tuning (knob) ratio is 40:1 using a heavby weight flywheel coupled to
- a free moving gear train, so you can "lightly spin" from one end of the
- dial to the other with just a flick of the wrist, and NO BACKLASH.
- Fine tuning is smooth and easy.
-
- The radio comes with a (photocopied) manual which includes a full
- schematic, alignment procedures, dial cord lacing pattern and pocedure,
- and all of the other good stuff.
-
- $145 firm I can ship it at your expense .
-
- Its about as sweet a radio as has ever been built.
- Why? I bought a HW-101 and the toy fund is empty.
- Oh yeah, of course its all tubes !
