- Recently people here in Ontario (? anyone remember where?) did this
- regarding junk mail. They mailed out notices to the companies mailing
- them that each subsequent mailing after a certain date would cost them
- $10/piece of mail. (Keep it realistic so it lives in court.)
-
- When it did come to trial, after only one of a dozen wouldnt stop, the
- couple won the $500 some-odd from the company. (And got the other 11 to
- stop.)
-
- Anyone have more accurate details?
-
- I am thinking of setting up my BBS (public access usenet) number as my
- fax receiving number. I am a bit aprehensive about this due to lack of
- disk space, not to mention time left for BBS users since each fax would
- be rec'd as a tiff file. Its a tradeoff between risk, convienience and
- the cost of getting another phone line. Anything else I should consider?
- Anyone have experience with this?
