  12. A new mailing list, privacy, has been created on comp.vuw.ac.nz

  14. This list is about:

  16. The PRIVACY Forum is a moderated digest for the discussion and analysis of
  17. issues relating to the general topic of privacy (both personal and
  18. collective) in the "information age" of the 1990's and beyond.  Topics
  19. include a wide range of telecommunications, information/database collection
  20. and sharing, and related issues, as pertains to the privacy concerns of
  21. individuals, groups, businesses, government, and society at large.  The
  22. manners in which both the legitimate and the controversial concerns of
  23. business and government interact with privacy considerations are also topics
  24. for the digest.  The PRIVACY Forum digest is supported in part by the ACM
  25. (Association for Computing Machinery) Committee on Computers and Public
  26. Policy.
