  18.     Major hardware upgrade Tuesday 24/11/92 -  Thursday 26/11/92

  20.   The current Library System hardware, an Ultimate 3040, is being
  21. upgraded to an Ultimate 7020 which will provide a noticeable
  22. performance improvement and more capacity.

  24.   The interruptions to service are as follows:

  26.   o  09:00 Tuesday 24/11/92 - 08:30 Wednesday 25/11/92

  28.   Only the OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) will available.  All
  29. library internal functions, circulation, cataloguing etc, will be
  30. restricted while system is backed up onto tape.

  32.   o  08:30 Wednesday 25/11/92 - 12:00 Thursday 26/11/92

  34.   All system functions unavailable while new hardware and cabling is
  35. installed, network equipment reconfigured, the system restored from
  36. tape and an operating system upgrade performed.
