- Any new train service from Boston to the North Shore would be via the (T). The
- latest plan to take shape is an extension of the Blue Line from Wonderland,
- into Lynn and Salem, ending in Salem, with the Commuter Rail trains running
- from Salem northward. One problem I see is that the plan called for the
- Blue Line cars to use the existing Commuter Rail tracks, all it would need
- is to be powered. I am under the impression that the subway tracks and
- the C.R. tracks are slightly different, which is one snafu that I think can
- be worked out.
