- In SOME, but not all areas of montreal, there is a service offered to
- people who already have call-waiting. It lets you DISABLE the call waiting
- for the duration of your outgoing call.

- To use it, you dial 1170 (or *70 if you have the * button) followed by the
- number you are calling. Then, for the duration of that call only, people
- who call you will get busy signals, and you will be uninterrupted. This is
- very useful for modem connections.

- If you get a busy signal instead of a dial tone after dialing 1170, this
- means your area does not have that service. If you get a dial tone, you're
- in luck!
