  11. A couple of weeks ago, someone posted to misc.forsale.computers that
  12. they were selling a Maxtor 85MB drive for $160.  I wrote this person
  13. but never heard back, but that's not my problem.  I am looking for
  14. a Maxtor IDE drive in the size range of 65Mb to 100Mb at a good price.

  16. The reason I want a Maxtor drive is that the drive I currently own is
  17. a Maxtor, and once before I tried to add a second drive (a Seagate)
  18. and it didn't seem to work.  When I called the companies, both said
  19. it was the other company's drive's fault, and that I should call
  20. them (more or less I got the run around).  So, I'd like to get another
  21. Maxtor so that I can call the company and they can't shove me off 
  22. since both drives are theirs.  Now, if you are selling a drive in the
  23. size range I've requested, and it's not a Maxtor, but you have experience
  24. working with Maxtor drives, I might consider it. (The thing about Maxtor
  25. drives is that they have a LOT of jumpers on them that need to be set
  26. depending on how it's set up.)  I do not have a manual for the drive I
  27. have, though, which is part of the problem.
