- Greetings
-
-
- I have just discovered this media, Fedtax-l, and really
- enjoy reading the question and answer format. Hopefully, one of
- you can answer a question for me.
- Soon, I will graduate college with a Bachelors Degree in
- Business Management. After taking and enjoying a fair share of
- the accounting and finance courses, I was thinking of purchasing
- a small business accounting and tax franchise.. The business
- itself is unestablished and I would purchase the franchise
- directly from the company.
-
- My question is: Should I do this?
-
- Presently, the county in N.Y. where I would have this
- business has a city and surrounding village population of 100,000
- with an added rural population of 1,000,000. The county already
- has 15 other businesses doing accounting services. Syracuse, a
- city an hour away, has a pop. that doubles this area, and they
- have 70 business doing accounting service.
- I have no business connections and even though I am 40 years
- old, I have no other human capital other than my degree.
- Is this a business I should stay away from? May be I should
- go to work for a company. Help me decide.
-
- Yarosh
