  14.      I have just discovered this media, Fedtax-l, and really
  15. enjoy reading the question and answer format.  Hopefully, one of
  16. you can answer a question for me.
  17.      Soon, I will graduate college with a Bachelors Degree in
  18. Business Management.  After taking and enjoying a fair share of
  19. the accounting and finance courses, I was thinking of purchasing
  20. a small business accounting and tax franchise..  The business
  21. itself is unestablished and I would purchase the franchise
  22. directly from the company.

  24. My question is: Should I do this?

  26.      Presently, the county in N.Y. where I would have this
  27. business has a city and surrounding village population of 100,000
  28. with an added rural population of 1,000,000.  The county already
  29. has 15 other businesses doing accounting services.  Syracuse, a
  30. city an hour away, has a pop. that doubles this area, and they
  31. have 70 business doing accounting service.
  32.      I have no business connections and even though I am 40 years
  33. old, I have no other human capital other than my degree.
  34.      Is this a business I should stay away from?  May be I should
  35. go to work for a company.  Help me decide.
