- Yes, but those are man's rules, not the bear's. If you disagree with
- them, there are lots of things you can do about it. Whether or not they're
- effective, well that's up to you and your elected representatives.

- Purists would argue that guns are not "natural," and in the event of an
- encounter, they'd let you use any means of duking it out with a bear that
- didn't involve machines that spit hot lead at thousands of feet per
- second. How about knives? Nope. Pointy rocks and big sticks? Now
