  10. I heard part of a story on NPR this morning about a judge ruling
  11. that sidebars in court were a violation of an accused's right to 
  12. be present at ALL proceedings of his trial and that the judge
  13. said something about the ruling being retroactive.  This would
  14. mean that previous cases where lawyers had sidebars with the 
  15. judge (just about all of them) could be retried.
