  19. The United Methodist Church, which founded the National Coalition to
  20. Ban Handguns (NCBH), declares that people should submit to rape and
  21. robbery rather than endanger the criminal's life by shooting him.  The
  22. Presbyterian Church, another NCBH affiliate, supports a complete ban
  23. on handguns because it opposes "the killing of anyone, anywhere, for
  24. any reason", including defense of others against a life-threatening
  25. attack.

  29. Interestingly, to me it seems that the Presbyterian Church would want
  30. to disarm *everyone*, including the police and the military.  I'm sure
  31. that criminals and hostile countries wholeheartedly support that idea.
