- I have a two-year-old who *loves* TMBG. At bedtime, if Mom is doing
- it, she wants to sing "Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star" and such. If Dad
- is doing it, she wants to sing "Particle Man," "Cowtown," "Istanbul,"
- and/or a couple of others. She actually gets excited at the prospect
- of hearing some of these songs. (She also likes Jonathan Richman.)
-
- I told John F. about this in Baltimore and he said we ought to bring
- her to a show. I replied that they usually start a bit past her
- bedtime. (When a friend of mine mentioned to John F., in California,
- that he knew a two-year-old--he was referring to my daughter--who
- likes TMBG, he said, "Call social services!")
-
- Unfortunately, she and her little friends are discovering the TV about
- now and her aesthetic senses are being dulled by tripe like "Sesame
- Street" and "Barney and Friends." Alas.
