- I have a question for the netland.
-
- My son Adam is 9 years old. He is an average nine year old
- maybe a little overly sensitive but in general a good kid.
-
- Recently I have noticed that he gets angry over nothing.
- Yesterday, he was playing basketball with another kid, Adam
- missed catching the ball so the other kid went after it and
- accidently Adam got pushed into a table ( not very hard - I was
- there and he barely bumped it ) and all of the sudden he
- was yelling at this kid like he had done it on purpose.
-
- This morning he got a really nasty tone in his voice when the
- sitter asked him to get ready for school. He was playing with
- his legos and said "I TOLD YOU TO TELL ME WHEN IT WAS 7:30 NOT
- 7:15 NOW GET OUT OF HERE" I normally am not around in the morning
- but I had overslept so I heard this exchange.
-
- Thirdly, when I dropped him off at soccar practice the other day
- there were two boys at the park, before he even gets out of the
- car he says "OH, GREAT JOEY AND VICTOR ARE HERE NOW PRACTICE IS RUINED"
-
- I don't know if this is age appropriate behavior and is just something
- that will eventually pass or is it something else ? I asked him if
- everything is okay with school etc but he says everything is fine.
-
- I know that it is okay to show anger and you shouldn't suppress it
- but he has been flying off the handle for no reason.
-
- Help, my husband and I are at a loss we are both people who try and
- "go with the flow"
