- Does anyone remember a poem which is about different
- trees and specifically, their wood and the properties
- it has when seasoned to burn on house fires? Bits of
- it go something like :
-
- Ash burns bright when seasoned or green
- and...
- Oakwood burns a fire fit for a king
- and...
- Something burns clear if the logs are kept a year
-
- It's a really old poem that is a good way of teaching
- kids knowledge which is lost today because of the way
- we live.
