- This may work for you, but I wonder how old your kids are. FIrst,
- kids don't eat as much as adults do until they are close to their teens, so
- they will be doing nothing for a little while, unless you have a very talkative
- table. Ours always was, but some families' aren't. It's no fun when you
- sit there bored, and nobody deserves to be treated like that, being made
- to sit still and do nothing while the adults just eat and don't pay attention
- to you. So, while this may work with older kids, or with a table where
- everyone is talking and paying attention to everyone else as well as
- eating, it's not a wise rule if yours is the type of household where people
- just eat and do nothing else at the dinner table.
