- I am looking for information on short and intermediate term taxable and
- tax-free bond funds. I am currently leaning towards Strong's Short Term
- Bond Fund but I am also considering Dreyfus' Massachusetts Tax Exempt
- Intermediate Term Bond Fund. I am more concerned about the risk
- associated with holding longer term notes than I am with the risk of
- holding less that AAA quality bonds. It would also be advantageous if
- the fund had associated money-market funds (taxable and non-taxable) as
- I have no intention of reinvesting capital gains and/or dividends. I am
- only considering no-load mutual funds. If anyone has any recommendations
- I would be happy to hear from them. Recommendations from MA residents
- would be greatly appreciated as I would like to hear how they made their
- decisions degrading taxable vs. tax-free vs. double tax-free funds.
