  18. Compared to so many other folks that have chronic pain problems, I
  19. still count myself fortunate, since all of this is only 7 months old.
  20.  That may well be too early to even contemplate amputation, yet it

  22. is a double-dilemma.  I've read too many stories about people who
  23. have gone for years with chronic pain, only to have amputation anyway.
  24.  And, how long can I expect W.C. to cooperate with medications, brace
  25.  
  26. upkeep, etc. while I wait?

  37. No.  Actually, neither of us have felt like we need any (sort of like
  38. a crazy person claiming to be sane) :-).

  40. Although we're both under a considerable amount of pressure (the new
  41. house, which I was building starting over a year ago needs finishing,
  42. Sheryl is basically running the family, etc), neither one of us has
  43. felt the need to talk to anyone but each other.  We gain a considerable
  44. amount of support from this.
