-
- The March, 1992 keynote speaker, Virtual Reality pioneer Jaron Lanier,

-
- "Rod MacDonald, President of the American Association for the Deaf-Blind

- the most severely disabled person can make a significant contribution
- to society," says Murphy. For the past 22 years, MacDonald has been

- property management, and personnel for his work unit.
-
- MacDonald is a graduate of CSUN, earning a perfect 4.0 grade point
- average in his Master's Program in Educational Administratioin in
- 1977. At this graduation ceremony, 10,000 fellow graduates stood
- and applauded him in a moving tribute to his achievement.
-
- "I was one of his professors at the time," says Murphy. "His work
- was outstanding in every way. He earned his A+ from me, as he did
- from every other professor in his MA program."
-
- In 1992, CSUN's conference drew 2,200 participants from almost every
- state and 22 foreign countries, more than 300 speakers and 102
- exhibitors. "We expect another big crowd in March, 1993," Dr. Murphy
- adds, "including leaders in this field from China, Russia, Iran
