- yup...I know the problem. The pattern usually goes during our training:
-
- Is she friendly?
-
- me: Yes. (they start to reach) but please don't pet her, she's working,
- and is responsible for her person's safety.
-
- they usually get it, but some don't..as a trainer I sometimes let the kids
- pet so I have them long enough to explain to the kids and their parents why
- they can't pet or even attract the dogs attention ever again...usually works.
- Then again there are the bozo's who start petting after you ask them not to...
- one day I'm gonna get real rude with one of these...
-
- sigh.
