- Hmmm, interesting. I have heard quite differently about SegaCD, but no
- bother, I will wait to see how in does in the US. Anyway, I would disaggree
- about TurboG. It is a rare game system in that trying to find dealers who
- sell the bulk of the games that are out for TurboG is probably harder then
- finding a Software retailer that has a good selection of Mac stuff. This has
- nothing to do with the abilities of the system, but little or no advertising
- can sure kill a system. When you look at Sega and SNES, you can probably name
- games even without having the systems or entering a game store.
-
- When you go out deciding about what system to buy, you will probably want
- to look more at what you can get. Sega is now the top game system on the
- market as far as sales are concerned. They have dropped their base system
- to 89.95, a sure key to tell you that their market has grown tremendously. The
- games are well made, and even if they are slightly limited in color, in almost
- every case, you can't tell the difference. Sega has some of the best game
- coders out there. They have led numerous times in the arcade scene and are now
- the leader in home systems. It is not the question of what system to buy, but
- more importantly, WHO is going to offer you the best for your money. SNES,
- TurboG and NEO-GEO are hogs in the money market. The good games for these
- systems cost the same and more then Sega games. On average, most Sega games
- range around 49.95, and rumor has it that once the market for Sega CD
- increases, then the prices will drop to make room for fair priced CD games.
- As you can tell, I am a Sage fan. But I have played and own other systems, and
- I know that all systems out there these days offer great gaming opportunities.
-
- In closing, IF you want the best system out there, and you have the money.
- Then you have only one choice to make. Get the NEO-GEO system. You will then
- have an arcade in your home. Course you will spend about $150-200 per game and
- about $650 for the system, but as I said, if you have the money.
-
- Hope this helps.
