  61.     -This typewriter has 1 year of use on it, and has been sitting,
  62.      unused, for several years. 
  63.     -It is in perfect working condition.
  64.     -It needs a new ribbon, and a new corrector-tape (see prices below)
  65.     -Has a flip-out handle for lugging around, but the operative word
  66.      here is LUG. It's HEAVY, and was meant to sit on a desk. This is
  67.      not a skimpy little machine; it's a heavy-duty, modern piece of
  68.      office equipment.

  70. Pricing info:
  71.     -Ribbons cost $7.30 each, according to the typewriter store I
  72.      called recently. This is up from approximately $6 in 1987-88, so
  73.      it's not climbing fast. Ribbons last a good long time.
  74.     -The corrector-tape costs $4, according to the same store, and lasts
  75.      proportional to your typing ability. (Still a long time, even if
  76.      you mess up a lot.)
  77.     -I asked how much the typewriter would cost nowadays, so that I
  78.      could offer a fair price, but not too high or too low. They said
  79.      that this model is no longer current, but that the nearest
  80.      equivalent model is going for $650. (I was quite surprised! Mine
  81.      was a gift, so I didn't know how much it was worth...)
  82.     -In any event, I was thinking of asking about $400 for the
  83.      typewriter, since it was used, and the woman said that was a fair
  84.      price.

  86. Why am I selling it? 
  87.     Because I am moving to San Francisco at the end of the semester,
  88.     and don't want to carry the extra luggage. Also, I do my writing on
  89.     the computer, so the typewriter just kinda sits, and to be
  90.     perfectly honest, I could use the money! (*GRIN*)
