  16. Why would you need a waiver? Diversions are only a request on the part
  17. on the hospital and you are under no obligation to honor them. If you
  18. have a patient who needs hospitalization but will only go to a certain
  19. hospital and it a choice between that hospital and an RMA/AMA.. Take
  20. thme to that hospital. The ER staff will get over it AND they have to
  21. provide appropriate care.

  23. If you are overly concerned about it you can make a notation in the
  24. comments section of the ARC and have the patient initial it.
