  10. Actually, the design was for a portable unit, although a desktop can
  11. also function equally well.  The system allows for the recording and
  12. playback of phrases as spoken by native speakers.  I have found that
  13. when I try to pronounce things in other languages I'm usually not quite
  14. correct in pronouncing.  This thing was also designed to be a
  15. custom-made product.  With a scanner and the right sound board, any set
  16. of questions in any set of languages can be loaded in.  That's a lot of
  17. work, but the ready-made phrasebooks I've seen usually ask the questions
  18. someone else wants to ask, not what I want to ask.  I can mail you a
  19. sample if you would like.
