- Justin, you'll probably get you heckles up over this question, but here
-
- goes anyways;
-
- Given that the CFA get AUD$128m and the Melbourne FB get $670m and the
- SES
- get a total of AUD$1.5m, would it no my better finanical sense to let
- the
- Fire Services provide the rescue service (which they could probably do
- with a small once off injection of capital to finance equipment),
- obviously they have their vehicles in situ and call out procedures
- already
- in place. This would free the SES to direct capital towards vehicle
- purchases, additional storm and tempest equipment such as flood boats,
- roofing tarps, chainsaws etc?
-
- Regards, Steve.
