- Re the problems with arson investigators: Sounds like
- politics as usual to me :-) My understanding is that chiefs
- and department heads serve at the pleasure of the mayor, board
- of trustees or whatever entity runs the show.
- We have a chief who went from blueshirt right to chief!!!!
- No officer experience at all! Politics as usual!
-
- My two cents' worth is that if the cops want yet another reason
- to let the dregs of society threaten/assault/shoot at them, go
- for it! We're the `good guys' because we arrive on the scene
- to save lives, help people, put out fires, etc. We're not
- equated with interrogations, hassles and incarcerations. I'm
- happy doing my job putting out fires and NOT worrying about
- who's behind me. I don't want to wear body armor under my
- turnout gear.
-
- But I do agree, politics suck!
