  10. Hi steve, nice to hear from you again. Firstly we do recieve the 17.5%
  11. loading in a roundabout sort of way and we dont know if we will have our
  12. pay reduced at all at this stage.  There are other changes that are
  13. likely to have a much greater effect in the long run, being Workcare
  14. changes (could lead to footpath firefighting), Increased hours to 56hrs 
  15.  
  16. per week (24 hr shifts ?) and major reductions in manning. These areas
  17. that I have mentioned may not be effected in the end, but only time will
  18.  
  19. tell. NOTE THIS IS ONLY MY ENTERPRETATION OF WHAT MAY HAPPEN.
  20. The tracing of 000 calls is already underway. This is mainly done by the
  21. Telecom operator, though we will soon have the ability to do it
  22. ourselves,New tecnology introduced by telecom when they computerised the
  23. exchanges does mean that Caller Line Identifaction CLI as it is called
  24. will soon be routine. The hardware has been installed in our Comm Centre
  25. but I am unsure if its up and running yet. Recently I have requested CLI
  26. information on returning from a Malicious False Alarm and the
  27. information WAS made available to me. No doubt the prosecutions will
  28. start soon!
