- A question for all you rescue people out there from someone who
- lives in a volunteer fire/rescue community in Maine...what does it
- specifically mean when someone (dispatcher, EMT, etc) says it's a "code
- 99"? I have a scanner at my home so I can hear all the excitement in my
- town when an alarm goes off or there's an accident, and the other night
- there was a "CODE 99" broadcast and two days later the patient's
- obituary was in the local paper.
