  10. Is there some reason that Physical Science should precede Earth
  11. Science?  Or vice versa?  We are having a local discussion of
  12. which students should take in the eighth grade, which in the
  13. ninth grade.
  14. Traditionally, Physical Science comes first, possibly because
  15. the topics of introductory chemistry and physics are more
  16. fundamental and should be introduced by then; possibly because
  17. the topics are more diverse; possibly because more lab
  18. activities can be done.  On the other hand, maybe Earth Science
  19. should precede because it is less abstract, less mathematical.
