- Is there some reason that Physical Science should precede Earth
- Science? Or vice versa? We are having a local discussion of
- which students should take in the eighth grade, which in the
- ninth grade.
- Traditionally, Physical Science comes first, possibly because
- the topics of introductory chemistry and physics are more
- fundamental and should be introduced by then; possibly because
- the topics are more diverse; possibly because more lab
- activities can be done. On the other hand, maybe Earth Science
- should precede because it is less abstract, less mathematical.
- Please tell us the answer!
