- On the contrary, I think that the legal and medical professions contain
- about the same proportion of mediocrities and incompetents as the teaching
- profession does. I also think that the majority of teachers are hard working
- and at least competent (like the majority of doctors and lawyers) - they
- just get dumped on more by people like yourself because they are a soft target.

- Having recently worked for one of the most successful American Corporations,
- I can assure you that "putting up with nonsense and inefficiency" and
- "keeping one's mouth shut when confronted with incompetent superiors" is
- a requisite for survival in them as much as it is other totalitarian
- organisations.
