  28. On the contrary, I think that the legal and medical professions contain
  29. about the same proportion of mediocrities and incompetents as the teaching
  30. profession does. I also think that the majority of teachers are hard working
  31. and at least competent (like the majority of doctors and lawyers) - they 
  32. just get dumped on more by people like yourself because they are a soft target.

  41. Having recently worked for one of the most successful American Corporations,
  42. I can assure you that "putting up with nonsense and inefficiency" and
  43. "keeping one's mouth shut when confronted with incompetent superiors" is
  44. a requisite for survival in them as much as it is other totalitarian
  45. organisations.
