- Sears frequently pays people (college students, etc.) on a comission
- basis for all cardmembers that they can get to sign up. (usually $1-$2
- per member) One method that these people can use to get customers is
- by phone solicitation. Although I'd never give this kind of
- information over the phone, I'd imagine that the caller was for real.
